Hiking & Mountaineering

Our building is located right in the Wildkogel Arena. The region is regarded as one of the loveliest hiking areas in the Alps. A unique hiking network spans countless kilometres, and it couldn’t be any more variety-packed. On one side of the Wildkogel – which is conveniently accessible via the Wildkogelbahn, located next to our building – and on the other is the mountain massif of the Hohe Tauern National Park with the Neukirchen National Park valleys – Obersulzbachtal and Untersulzbachtal.

Wonderful mountain hikes, for instance to the well-known Kürsingerhütte, easy and pleasant tours in the National Park valleys – the Ober- and Untersulzbachtal valleys – and on the Wildkogel, along with themed paths (Venedigerweg, Smaragdweg) for all the family, tackling summits above 3000 metres and guided hikes are part of the Wildkogel Activity Programme which take in this unique landscape, tempting you out into the natural surroundings.

Experience an alpine summer

There are countless alpine inns around the Wildkogel and in the National Park valleys here hikers can enjoy refreshments, traditional dishes and tasty treats. When the alpine lodges and inns open at the start of June, summer returns to the countryside – with hot sunny days, delicious Pinzgau treats and long evenings beneath the starry skies, which seem mind-bogglingly close when you are up at 1000 metres.
